This review is from: Corsair Nova Series 2 CSSD-V60GB2 2.5" 60GB SATA II Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Pros: Serviceable as a game drive
Cons: Cannot multitask
Slower than advertised speed
Unusable without other hard drives
Other Thoughts: When I first installed this drive to my desktop gaming pc, it had speeds below advertised, but higher than the platter based drives that I had. All was fine, even if my new SSD had fairly low speeds compared to how fast it was supposed to be.
More recently I decided to install my OS onto the drive, on both my desktop and a laptop that I figured would get a nice performance boost, and it was then that I began to see some glaring issues with the drive. First of all, the drive can't do multiple things at once, so updating or installing/uninstalling programs on the SSD will lock up windows for as long as it takes for the transfer to complete. When I first installed Dropbox on the SSD, it took a number of hours to download all my files. The computer turned out to be completely unusable during the entire ordeal, as programs took minutes to start and react to user input.
This led me online, and much to my dismay the problem was effecting a large number of this drive's users, and no absolute remedy had been offered or discovered. Users who had decided to RMA their drives got new models with the exact same issues, and firmware updates solved nothing, even certain firmwares from other manufactures.
In conclusion, I'd probably steer clear of Corsair in the future. I personally plan to.
Pros: Good fan, fairly quiet with speed control
Tilting function is great
USB Hub is very useful
Doesn't slide around, has rubber feet
Cons: The tabs that hold your laptop on the pad are very weak, easily broken
Other Thoughts: Within about a week of use, both of the flip out tabs that are meant to hold the laptop while tilted have broken off. My laptop is a convertible and I use it for drawing on with a stylus, so maybe that contributed to the tabs failing. In any case, I'm fairly disappointed as the way it tilts is the main reason I had purchased it , and now it's basically unusable due to that.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SteelSeries Siberia v2 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Full-size Headset - Black
Pros: Most comfortable headset ever, ten hours with these on is nothing.
Cons: The cans always break, without fail, after about a year of use. First time they must have blown out, and I don't listen to anything too loud. Second pair currently has only one operable can, whereas the other sounds strange and muted.
Other Thoughts: Great headset if you're lucky enough to get one that lasts.READ FULL REVIEW
