This review is from: Edimax EW-7438RPn V2 300Mbps Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender, Repeater, Wireless Bridge, Access Point, Wall Plug design, Smart LED Signal Indicator, Easy iQSetup by Smart Phone (No CD Required)
Pros: They worked for a few months.
Cons: I have bought THREE of these units. All three exhibit the same failure mechanism. After using the product for 3 months, all connecting devices show a Wi-Fi error. The extender then has to be turned off and then back on. This occurs more and more frequently (once every two weeks, once every week, once every day) until the unit refuses to reboot normally. (The front lights don't come on in the normal order.) I want to be very clear, this happened after 3 to 5 months on all three units!
Other Thoughts: It is difficult for me to imagine that others have not seen this same failure since I (unfortunately) purchased three units over 3 weeks time and all three units eventually failed. (After buying and testing the first unit, I bought the other two for my girlfriend and my brother.)READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Sungale Cloud TV Box STB370 Ethernet / Wireless LAN Interface
Pros: It did boot on and displayed the main window.
Cons: I purchased this device to have reasonable access to the internet. The internet browser does not work as advertised. Bringing up a new page is very, very slow. (It does eventually come up.) Playing a video takes upwards of 5 min. (I have a high speed cable connection. I even tried plugging the device directly into the router and turning off the wireless.....did not help.) Furthermore, the address bar at the top of the browser would not appear. (I even tried adjusting the television screen size.)
Other Thoughts: I have asked for the product to be RMA'ed.
(I even explored loading new firmware but these files on the manufacturers web side are empty!)
