This review is from: Thermaltake Commander F5 Multi Fan Controller
Pros: Smooth-sliding controls, easy operation, and simple plug-and-play setup. Works well with any fan plugged into the side of my case.
Cons: For some reason, the fan controller doesn't even get below 6 volts. What kind of fans do I pair this with?
One of the controls' LED status lights is either not lit (either burnt out or shorted), but the fan on that controller still works.
Other Thoughts: This is more than ideal than cutting the connector off and sticking it into either the 5v rail or the 12v rail directly off the power supply. I got this to control my Corsair Air Series fans on the side of my case. I tried other fans and even my Zalman cooler. Now some people don't recommend trying to use this for CPU cooling. A major improvement would be if they made them fully PWM-controlled, that is, include additional pins for real speed control.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Runs very well, doesn't get too hot, and I like how it's backwards compatible with older PCI-Express standards.
Cons: None, but see Other Thoughts
Other Thoughts: I came in here asking about whether this thing would run Dual Graphics with the on-chip integrated GPU before I bought this thing, and on the day that I got it and installed it, I found out that it didn't, so I set the card as the primary video adapter. I also had issues with the drivers and software that I had, because the R7-250 wasn't supported with whatever drivers I had ... because in older (DX9.0c) games like The Sims 2 Apartment Life, using new drivers causes all of the Sims' shadows to appear as black squares when they are indoors. Running other games work fine, just as long as you don't stick them on "Ultra" settings. Let the Catalyst manager determine "your" fate. Although sometimes when I want to call up the Catalyst Control Center, it goes AWOL -- the program silently crashes without giving me any warnings. And I'm not sure what's worse, the motherboard, or GPU-Z's reporting that my card is running at PCI-E x8 speeds?
I also tried to do some Folding@Home on it but the first ever project to be run on this GPU got blown to pieces when the FAHClient reported a "BAD WORK UNIT" with just 3 hours left on it. Besides that, every time I run it, everything lags on my desktop, and I can't play my games until I've stopped the client.
And I like how it doesn't have a PCIE Power connector. Which makes my 550W power supply just sad. :(
Pros: Moves a lot of air at a slow rate of speed.. Hey, a fan is a fan!
Cons: It doesn't work with my fan controller. It has to be PWM. Item No. N82E16811998149
One of the grommets got ripped out of one fan when I was removing one of the two fans from the case's side panel.
Other Thoughts: I can only put one of these in my case, because the CPU cooler was just way too big to put the other one in there.

There are two spaces on my case to install 2 x 120 case fans on the side panel of my case, and I put one on the bottom space, next to the spot where the video card is.
