This review is from: Rosewill 2-Port USB 3.0 PCI Express Card Model RC-505
Pros: Works well on my aging Dell Vostro 410 system; even though it only has PCI-Express version 1.1. My external hard drive transfer speed is on par with my internal sata 2 mechanical hard drives. I was hoping for at least double the speed of usb 2.0 but was happy to see it was at least triple on average.
Cons: It my not be much of a con but my system only has sata power connectors so I needed to buy an adapter to get this to work properly. Also I noticed if I transfered too many files at once it would slow down after a while but it could be because of my external hard drive. I currently have no way of telling.
Other Thoughts: I bought this adapter so I could connect a Samsung 4tb hard drive and have some decent transfer speeds.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Obviously works on my Dell Vostro 410. Was concerned it would drop the speed of the ram on my system from 800Mhz to the next step down but it stayed the same.
Cons: Expensive for what turned out to be Kingston ram CAS 6; according to CPU-Z. I did not want to take any chances on compatibility so I had to pay. Although Newegg sells a 4GB kit for about the same price as a single 2GB stick. With no one giving any feedback on my Dell system on the Kingston brand it made me have to settle for two of these.
Other Thoughts: Time to mess around with ramdisk on my dual boot system; Windows 7 64-bit/ Windows XP Pro.
