Pros: Great cable, should have checked the length (oops... Oh well). Works perfectly as they should. Got it in two days, great shipping as always Newegg!!!
Other Thoughts: Had a friend look for this type of item locally and was told by the Best Buy associate that nothing like that exists.... Hmmmmmmmmmm.... I would question their training, and hiring for that matter, as this associate apparently has never dealt with any technology outside of their store (can someone say DOLT!)READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: As a system builder, I use these drives on a very regular basis on almost all of my new builds and have never seen any "bluebirds" in their firmware (Not denying that they exist). That being said, I will tell you that I have NEVER BOUGHT ANY of these from Newegg. These drives are decent enough drives for the money spent (mind you, they're no Plextor drive).
Other Thoughts: You be the judge, is this an issue with strangely loaded units that Newegg purchased or some other unique phenomenon? Hmmmm.... I repeat, of all of the LG drives that I have installed (hundreds to be exact), I have never encountered any "bluebirds" in their f/w and have never had a problem removing any of their extraneously added program entries from the start up of any Windows box. As a matter of procedure, I routinely load their packaged software onto any system that gets one of these drives (if they don't have a good piece of burning software already installed).READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Unit is compact, but has some heft to it (I definitely couldn't use it like an HP frisbee). Very easy to set up through the wizard for both wired and wireless. Directions were fairly easy to follow in the book as well. Great crisp color and first page out is exceptionally fast (less than 10 seconds). Footprint is about the size of an older ink jet printer that it is replacing. You can't beat the price for a networkable (wired and wireless) or locally (USB) driven color laser jet printer. The toner cartridges are very easy to get at and change unlike some that you need an engineering degree and a service manual to change.
Cons: The toners are inexpensive, but they are very tiny compared to most other color lasers I've serviced. I hope they last longer than what I am expecting them to.
Other Thoughts: Overall, it seems to be a great little printer for single user or a small (less than 5 person) workgroup. Can't wait to see how it performs! This happens to be for my parents who are not as technically inclined as I am and they seemed to find it easy to use as well.READ FULL REVIEW
