5 out of 5 eggs Does the job for small $$ 11/30/2013

This review is from: Dual USB 2.0 to SATA 15+7 Pin Data Cable 2.5" HDD Case For Mac OSX 10.6 and 10.9

Pros: Simple cable + even simpler case. Just what is needed for drive upgrades, test, formatting, transfers, etc.

Cons: not for heavy duty work.

Other Thoughts: For occasional use to upgrade drives, format, etc.

5 out of 5 eggs Fits the bill, Gets the Job Done 10/20/2013

This review is from: BYTECC BRACKET-250 2.5" HDD/SSD Metal Mounting Kit

Pros: Does what it offers; a lot of these kinds of accessories are cheap junk. This isn't......not made of gold but more than adequate for the task

Cons: none really

Other Thoughts: adding 2.5" SSD to replace 3.5" HD in a HP desktop. Does the job, good fit, the way it should. $1 more expensive than the cheaper alternative.....$1? Don't think about it.

SAMSUNG Spinpoint MP4 HM500JJ 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Upgrade to Thinkpad - from WD 160GB/5400 RPM. VERY fast, surprised how much faster this drive is that the WD that came installed from Lenovo.
Very quiet.......very!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: When operating, you a barely aware that any disk activity is happening - no noise, no vibration at all. A little scary if you remember disk drives that clicked and having a SSD.
