Pros: Non-Conductive, Easy to use, Lasts ~8 years (It's only been in my system a few months, not sure I'll even HAVE this computer in 8 years!) according to the packaging, non-runny like some thermal paste/grease types can be.
Does an unreal job - immediately cooled my CPU by 10-12 degrees C, far more than I ever expected. Increased my processor capacity at least tenfold.
Cons: I have not found a con yet, other than the package (this one, 4 grams) comes with about 4 uses, and I've so far only needed two: one for my computer and one for my mother's computer. Can't say it's really a con, as I still have lots left for any "just in case" situations.
Other Thoughts: I never realized I had an overheat until I realized my intake fans were running like jet engines, and my case was warm. After a few days of this my computer would be very sluggish while playing World of Warcraft, or running any photo editing software, playing movies or even idling after a few hours.
My case was clean, my CPU heatsink and fans were all clean, so I couldn't figure out what the problem was. Turns out the person who gifted me with this self-refurbished box either didn't replace the existing paste, or didn't use a very good one if they did, as it stopped working after less than a year. I cleaned up the CPU and heatsink, added a little of this stuff, and the computer runs silent and like new. This wonderful stuff made such a difference that it was a difference of $10 for the MX-2 or $2500 for a new computer!
Pros: Great noise reduction both in the ear and for recording, comfortable for long wear, great for internet phone and gaming
Cons: tight when first purchased, wires wear out if mic swapped from side to side too often
Other Thoughts: I've had a total of three of these, and while I wore out the first two, they lasted with a little splice repair. The first one died to being stepped on, the second died from swapping the mic too much. The one I have now has lasted a year plus, and so far I haven't swapped the mic a lot. Fantastic for gaming and internet phone without having to go entirely through the headset, it's wonderful to have my World of Warcraft sounds through my speakers and still be able to talk on Skype or Ventrilo without interference, and no one has any problems hearing me with many fans going, or my loud computer fan.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Cyber Acoustics AC851B USB Connector Circumaural Stereo Headset & Boom Mic
Pros: Clear sound, clear recording, noise cancelling in the ear, mic boom filters noise out beautifully
Cons: tight when first purchased, wires loosen if the mic is flipped a lot
Other Thoughts: For the price, this headset is absolutely fantastic. I've owned several of these, and they can take a beating. The first two I had died from being stepped on or over-working the mic, but the one I'm wearing right now I've had for about a year and as long as I don't constantly flip the mic from side to side, it has lived very well.READ FULL REVIEW
