Pros: Great product, that allows you to use up those 5.25" bays that are taking up space in micro cases. Who is really using optics in those these days!?
With that said:
Has the ability to add a hard drive and 2 solid state drives in 1 5.25" bay
Mix it up and add a 2 SSD's and some USB 3.0's/card readers
Lastly, make the best of your micro case and get one of these!
Cons: So yes, there is a caveat:
The product could be improved to some degree. I was unable to secure screws into the hard drive on this product and although there is an area for this, My western digital HDD was unable to line up. Granted it does have it's own locking, but doesn't lock that tight for the HDD. Maybe I did it wrong, but checked several different ways and don't believe I did it wrong. The SSD slot are very snug and happy with that.
Would be nice if it was steel on the outer casing, but not a big deal.
Other Thoughts: Yes, I highly recommend this based on micro or itx case implementation. Ditch the optical if you only have one 5.25" bay or in my case 2. Optical drives are out and you are better getting a external if you need one. YMMV
I used this in a Fractal Design Core 1000 Black MATX Mini Tower. I was able to push it to 3 HDD and 2 SSD. It further could have been pushed to hold another 2 SSD's if I had another of these products. If my Graphics card was hogging up the lower portion of this case, I could have added an additional HDD, but cable management would have been a bigger head ache.
All in all, the ICY DOCK FLEX-FIT Trio MB343SP really is a great product and a no brainer if you have smaller cases or in general need more drives to fit in your case. I know I did!
This review is from: Thermaltake CL-P008-AL09WT-A 92mm Gravity i1 65W Intel Low Profile CPU Cooler
Pros: It is low, looks good and silent.
Cons: Honestly, this does not cool very well. In fact I installed in a unit running a i7 2700K (not overclocked) and it is idles in the BIOS at 45C. I have checked the paste and reapplied while making sure it wasn't my installation. Really not impressed over a OEM fan. I will eventually water cool this unit, especially if I overclock it as this product just is not working out! I didn't expect too much out of this, but do expect it to have better performance than the OEM cooler.
Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this product, unless you're okay with idling a CPU at 45C+.READ FULL REVIEW
