Amazing card
Pros: Works amazingly well in vista x64. Great frame rates in UT3, TF2, COD4, ET:QW, etc. Comes with vga, hdmi and component adapters, as well as an s-video cable and the crossfire bridge.
Cons: I paid twenty bucks more than it is now...
Overall Review: So I got this to replace my 8800 gts 640mb. For some reason that card never performed well in vista x64, and this one does.
decent cable
Pros: The cable itself works fine, very flexible, looks great under a UV light
Cons: The ends can get in the way of connecting power to a drive. They rub, and plug in very hard, I could not plug in the sata cable unless i unplugged the power first, then had to put the power on at an angle and kind of scrape past. I'd recommend getting one with a more standard sized connector.
formatting issue?
Pros: Great card!
Cons: Not a thing
Overall Review: If you format an have under 2gb is it possible you formatted it as FAT and not FAT32? just a thought. (Try it on a computer, and select FAT32)
Pretty good
Pros: Speeds up things when you have several programs going, unganged dual memory controller mode is pretty slick.
Cons: I think I was being hit by the bug every 5 minutes when I first installed vista, it would just lock without a BSOD, I reloaded vista didn't do SP1 and it seems better now.
Overall Review: Somehow I think I should get a replacement for this buggy cpu when it comes out, but somehow I doubt they'll give it to me free...
kinda ok, needs better bios
Pros: AM2+ support, lots of nice features
Cons: None of the three bios files out right now work 100% for me. The latest one is the best, but I cannot use more than 2gb of ram, and only in slots 1 and 2. If I try 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 for dual channel it won't boot. Very obnoxious...
Overall Review: This would get a full 5 from me if the bios worked right...
To kiddbios
Pros: This board is actually really good. The problem he is referring to lies within the software, not the hardware. http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=929777 I know...MS is lame, but please don't blame asus, they are always rock solid (recently purchased my 5th asus board, never once rma'd one)
Cons: none at all
