4 out of 5 eggs Works with Logitech Unifying Wireless Keyboard/Mouse 07/12/2013

This review is from: IOGEAR GCS932UB 2-Port USB DVI KVM with Audio and Mic.

Pros: Bought this to work with the wireless Logitech K520 keyboard/mouse which uses a unifying USB receiver. I could not get this to work at first, but after research I found that the mouse emulation needed to be turned off in this KVM for unifying receivers. The only way to tell if mouse emulation is really turned off is to open Word (or Notepad) and press Scroll Lock - Scroll Lock - F4 - Enter to get a report of what is on/off. Several times I entered the key combination to turn off mouse emulation, but it was not really turned off. I think the timing of the key presses may be important for the KVM to recognize the commands. To turn off mouse emulation it is Scroll Lock - Scroll Lock - m - Enter. Be sure to then list the options in Word (or Notepad) to make sure it is really turned off. Then plug the unifying receiver into the Mouse USB port and let Windows install the drivers.

Cons: Instructions should be clearer in how to work with unifying keyboard/mouse. You need a wired USB keyboard/mouse in order to turn off mouse emulation. Why can't this be a switch on the KVM?
