Pros: does not break the bank, low power requirements, small size
Cons: fan is loud with no active control
Other Thoughts: Works with Widows 8 but must find latest driver from EVGA. Could not bear the fan noise so I soldered in a 150 ohm resister to slow it down. Never gets above 55 degrees C. Don't know why EVGA thought they needed such a whiner fan. Voided warranty but card is tolerable,READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Comes with overclocking utility along with some other software some may find useful. Found that it works for crunching SETI work units on older machines. Passive heat sink works OK if you don't overclock it. Might give an older desktop with no AGP or PCIe slots a couple more years of life. Overclocks well
Cons: It's PCI. On the expensive side to upgrade such old tech if you plan to game with it.
Other Thoughts: core clock at 828
Shader (tied to core) 1656
Must use a good fan.
This review is from: MSI 760GM-P33 AM3 AMD 760G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Lots of overclock options
Cons: Would not post with recommended rip jaw ram
Other Thoughts: Ordered this due to good reviews for a budget build. It refused to post with both sticks of ram installed. Tried everything, under clocking, relaxed timings, voltage, etc. No Luck. RMA'd board but same thing. May have been a problem with the ram but unlikely and could not wait. Build was taking a lot longer than expected. Not likely to try a MSI build again.READ FULL REVIEW
