Pros: This puppy is fast! My WEI on Windows 7 x64 went from a 5.7 to a 7.5! My old drive was a 7200 IDE, but I didn't expect so much of an improvement. Programs load noticeably faster. Even web browsing seems snappier. Very quiet drive. Have to strain to hear it.
Cons: Hope it lasts. No discouraging signs yet.
Other Thoughts: My system image from my other disk was about 152 GB. I was forced to have the same sized partition on this disk in spite of it being around 300 GB. However, the smaller partition has lead to faster performance. If you want to see the best performance from these either RAID them or divide the partitions.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-MA78GM-US2H AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Solid caps where they matter. 2 oz copper, good onboard sound, nice chipset, good deal
Cons: no setting in bios to manually set dram timings, I had an el-cheapo bio* board and it had the ability to set timings
Other Thoughts: Called customer service and was told to basically deal with not having the ability to tweak the dram timings. I wasn't impressed. The guy seemed defensive when I asked him to write a customer complaint about the issue. He said that mATX boards just don't have all the features that ATX boards do. Anyway, I am still glad I bought the board because it seems pretty durable.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: good improvement over brisbane architecture, with unlocked multi ocing is a breeze
Cons: TDW is high at 95 watts but isn't anything to worry about if you keep C n Q on
Other Thoughts: I upgraded my Athlon x2 5400+ and noticed an immediate improvement in boot up times, in game performance fps, and got the full bandwidth from my 1066 modules. Went from 2.7 to 2.9 with just a small multi bump. No vcore change needed. Good value!!READ FULL REVIEW
