This review is from: SAMSUNG 840 Series MZ-7TD250KW 2.5" 250GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Pros: Much speedier than my traditional hard drive. Hardware was easy to install, as was the updated firmware. This is the first SSD I've used on my desktop system, and I'm pleased with the result.
Cons: That said, it's not as fast as some SSD's I've seen in action. I've seen others get into windows before the Windows 7 animation finishes, but it takes mine a little longer than that. Maybe the pro series would have been a better bet?
Other Thoughts: If you're looking to speed up your system, a SSD is the way to go. I think next time I'll do a bit more research to find the fastest bang for my buck, but this drive does the job and does it well.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Easy installation. My mobo clocked it at 1600Mhz at the on XMP Profile 1 with no additional tweaking needed. Very stable.
Other Thoughts: I've been buying Kingston memory for a decade now and I have never been disappointed.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASRock A785GM-LE AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 785G + SB710 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: A good, basic motherboard if you happen to have an extra AM2 processor lying around (which I did). This mobo was used as the basis for a HTPC and it does its job well. The on board video and audio are adequate for my needs, and the setup and install was quick and painless.
Cons: None really.
Other Thoughts: It's a fairly basic board, but that's exactly what I needed, so no complaints here.READ FULL REVIEW
