This review is from: ONKYO HT-S6300 7.1-Channel Home Theater System With iPod Dock
Pros: It's got a lot of bang for the buck.
Cons: Needs a ton of space around it and nothing else hot near it or it will overheat. I did not have mine adequately setup with space on the sides and it progressively lost HDMI capability after a couple years. It was past the warranty period; the repair guys said that repair will cost more than buying a new one.
Other Thoughts: The capacitors on the HDMI daughterboard fail if unit overheats due to inadequate ventilation, which mine did. THIS CAN BE FIXED by replacing some capacitors and adding PC fans. So it would get 4 or 5 starts if it worked on it's own, but since it needs active cooling I'm docking it a star or two.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Was not DOA.
Cons: This thing mounts sideways and thus blows in the wrong direction for my PC, which like most PCs, has airflow from front to back. I'm using an AM3 socket. It does not cool any better than a stock cooler, and probably worse. I replaced this ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro with the Thermaltake V1 and saw a large drop in temps.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Rosewill RMNA-11001 Universal automatic Notebook Power Adapter 90W
Pros: Newegg RMA rocks.
Cons: The plug on the end of the adapter melted in half. Toshiba Satellite L645D.
Other Thoughts: I prefer the Cables Unlimited 90W, which has never melted on me. I had broken off the end of that one and tried to replace with this Rosewill. Going back to the CU adapter now that the price has become more reasonable again.READ FULL REVIEW
