This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-H61M-S1 LGA 1155 Intel H61 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: easy to work with, decent board with the standard feature you'd expect for a budget board
Cons: VGA output only
You lose 1 pcie slot if you have a big gpu card.
lacks the little something that makes you go "oh I love this board"
Other Thoughts: I bought the board for a budget build and it was a bad idea. 1155 is too old and I should have gotten something better for just a few dollars more. I learn from such experience. I really got it only for the price tag at that moment.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: MSI AM1I AM1 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Mini ITX AMD Motherboard
Pros: great board full of features
mini pcie (beware: it's the half-lenght)
4-pin system fan header
Cons: only 2 sata so if you plan on having more that 2 hdd/ssd/odd you're stuck.
it only has 1 fan header so if your case needs more vent you have to be creative.
Other Thoughts: No onboard USB 3.0 header but I knew this and my case didn't have usb 3 ports so I didn't need the header anyways.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: standard micro atx size that doesn't look like an alien designed pseudo gaming case
2x front usb 3
300w psu, TOP mounted
Surprisingly robust for such a thin case!
For the price I have paid I am pleased, it's better than I expected.
Cons: Lacks some cable management features.
metal is THIN. Once components are installed it feels sturdier.
It's not free.
Other Thoughts: Built a micro atx system with optical drive, 4 hdd, fanless vga (huge heatsink), pcie-wifi. And it works well! system is used as HTPC and office use and runs perfectly on stock PSU (for now). I don't mind a top PSU: serves as an exhaust for heat.READ FULL REVIEW
