OPTOMA GT700 WXGA 1280x800 2300 ANSI Lumens 3D Compatible Game Time DLP Projector
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: It can actually do 3d.

Cons: No support

Other Thoughts: To continue, if you search hard enough there are ways to force the resolution to stay at 120hz during the 3d setup.
The only support is the "search" function, albeit a headache gamble, and hope for the best. Optoma needs to get their act straight on this one.

OPTOMA GT700 WXGA 1280x800 2300 ANSI Lumens 3D Compatible Game Time DLP Projector

Pros: It's a short throw projector with a decent 2d picture.

Cons: 3d is a gimmick and an expensive one.

Other Thoughts: So I bought this around 8 months ago. Never really got to use it until recently I get my condo. I've had a 3d ready Nvidia gt 260 core 216 for a while now and always wondered what 3d would look like. So now I drop a few hundred more and got a pair of the nvidia 3d version 2 glasses for me and a possible visitor thinking how great this is going to be. One problem, THIS PROJECTOR IS NOT NVIDIA CERTIFIED. If you go to a direct competitor's site they label it Nvidia certified (ZON). I call nvidia, they say it's not Nvidia Certified. I call Optoma and all he says is if you want 3d you got to get a gt720, but this one won't work. If you look anywhere, this is a 3d ready projector. Even on Optoma's website it says it's 3d. "Just hook it to your 3d ready computer". I feel ripped off!!! Anyone want to buy this one?

G.SKILL Phoenix Pro Series FM-25S2S-120GBP2 2.5
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: -ssd technology
-fast reads/writes
-silent
-just awesome

Cons: -it could "not work" at any time
-the storage price is high

Other Thoughts: I made the switch from a wd raptor x 150gb model. That beast was 200 bones when I bought it. Now it stores steam for me leaving the ssd is in charge. That raptor is lOuD, and I mean scary under heavy load.

My reasoning for the upgrade? Why have a quadcore all-in-one machine and have to wait for the disk to stop tearing itself apart trying to load the goods?
