My First SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE500BW 2.5" 500GB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) is still going strong.
Game with SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE500BW 2.5" 500GB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) and you will never be the same. Fantastic speeds and loading times with the latest gen games= fast/painless.
Other Thoughts: This is my second SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE500BW 2.5" 500GB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD). I highly recommend the SAMSUNG 840 EVO 500GB SSD. I use my first SSD for virtual machines and I am going to use the second one for gaming. Do not hesitate to buy this SAMSUNG 840 EVO 500GB SSD. You will not regret this purchase. In another month I will most likely purchase another SAMSUNG 840 EVO 500GB SSD. Fantastic hardware at a good price. Once you go SSD you will never go back.
I also purchased the Rosewill RX-C200P 2.5" SSD / HDD Plastic Mounting Kit for 3.5" Drive Bay which can be found here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817997013
I purchased the Rosewill mounting kit, because it can actually hold two SSD's and it's inexpensive. My first Rosewill mounting kit is still working nicely.
Pros: Solid Connection
3 antennas for maximum range on 5ghz network
$25 Black Friday deal
Works extremely well with Windows 8.1 pro 64bit right out of the box.
Other Thoughts: I run a business based on Vmware machines and it's vital to have a consistent internet connection. My broadband modem is on the other side of my house. Instead of running a long Ethernet cord, I chose the TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter. I have a total of 3 TP-Link TL-WDN4800's and I run two on one PC for my Vmware machines and another WDN4800 on a second PC. My first WDN4800 has been running fine for years. I also build computers and I use the WDN4800 with every build. I highly recommend the TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter. Don't think twice about it. I never tried the usb version, but I've read countless reviews comparing the WDN4800 PCI Express Adapter and the TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 PCI Express Adapter is the best one to go with (in my honest opinion). I hope this product works excellent for you! Happy HolidaysREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: For those having connection issues with the TP-Link WDN4800 I found a site: https://www.atheros.cz/atheros-wireless-download.php?chipset=38&system=8
with an updated atheros driver for Windows 8. I scanned with virustotal and everything looks okay. I made sure I backed up my computer the updated atheros driver and no more disconnects on my 5ghz network. It was driving me nuts, because Windows 8 would not reconnect to my 5ghz network and I looked everywhere for solutions to this problem. This driver fixed it for me.
Cons: Nothing except the drivers mentioned above. The driver from the tp-link website is ancient so I tried the updated atheros driver from an unofficial site and now everything works beautifully!READ FULL REVIEW
