Pros: It's a good looking board and supposedly supports quad sli.
Cons: At first boot, it would not boot with all 4 sticks of ram. I had to start with one, boot to bios, turn off , add another. I had to do this per each stick of ram,. That's when I knew this would not be a smooth process. I wish I would have gotten MSI. Cannot overclock, sytem crashed running PCMARK 08 on stock!!!!!
Other Thoughts: Asrock tech does email back, but I want to talk to someone on a phone. Bad thing is , this is a combo deal, so I think an RMA requires all three items, cpu, ram, memory.
Asrock x99 Fat Pro
Crucial 15gb DDR4 2400 (4x4)
Pros: Coolest R290X on the market from factory.
Cheaper than buying the card and a seperate block and back plate.
Cons: I paid $619.99 for this a few weeks ago and it had dropped $20. No PhysX, but thats Nvidia's fault, not AMD. It is a little more difficult to run a monitor and a TV together, Nvidia was simpler in that department.
Other Thoughts: I changed from a MSI GTX780Oc, I wouldn't say it is a large upgrade, but these particular cards in CF will scale better than SLI, so I decided to give AMD another shot, not a fanboy of either. Will get another one, or 2 or maybe a 295x2 to run tri CF later.READ FULL REVIEW
