This review is from: TP-Link TG-3269 Gigabit Network Adapter 10/ 100/ 1000Mbps PCI 1 x RJ45
Pros: Realtek 8169 controller is widely supported.
4 status led: Duplex, 10, 100, 1000
Cons: No Wake-On-Lan support
Other Thoughts: This board has no WOL support. Come on -- this is the 21st Century! Who in the world makes a gigabit ethernet card that doesn't support Wake-On-Lan? Unfortunately, the answer is TP-Link. Even the El Cheapo cards by Rosewill support WOL, but this card doesn't. It would be a mistake to buy this card by TP-Link.
I bought this card with a Gigabit switch. I wish that I could return it for a refund, but the value of the card is so low that it's not worth the expense of shipping it back for a refund. My only choice is to never use it or to just give up and throw it into the garbage.
Newegg's product description for this card fails to mention it's lack of support for WOL. Support or lack of support for WOL should be clearly stated in the card's feature list. -- you shouldn't have to do an advanced search to find this information. If Newegg had been more forthcoming about the card's lack of features then I would never have bought it. In my opinion, if a card doesn't support WOL they should say so clearly in it's product description, so that you don't find out the hard way after you've bought it.
I would give this card 5 negative eggs if I could.
Pros: 80+ Gold
Cons: Newegg's website falsely advertised this product as having a 5-year warranty on parts and labor. Upon delivery, the front panel of the box says that the product has only a 3-year warranty. I double-checked Newegg's product description, and the product description has changed since I ordered the PSU two days ago -- A) now the 5-year warranty statement is no longer a part of the description's header, and no warranty length is mentioned there; B) the Quick Info box continues to falsely list the product as having a 5-year warranty; the Specifications > Features page now lists the product as having a 3-year warranty.
I am not at all happy that I paid for a device that was advertised with a 5-year warranty, and that I received a device that actually has a 3-year warranty. I feel like I'm the victim of fraud.
This review is from: Cooler Master V6 GT - CPU Cooler with Dual 120 mm PWM Fans and 6 Heatpipes
Pros: Good cooling.
Moved Lots of Air WHEN THE FANS WORKED.
Cons: Fans failed under warranty.
Warranty Support is Non-Existent
Claim approved but parts never shipped.
Follow-up emails repeatedly get ignored.
Product is non-functional and sits on a shelf.
Had to go back to the OEM CPU cooler.
Other Thoughts: Unit failed in warranty period with a seized fan. Cooler Master approved the request for replacement parts but has never sent them out. They have been dragging their feet for over a month and still hasn't sent out a replacement fan. Parts Order status says that the claim was approved over a month ago, but they've never bothered to send out the fan. My follow-up emails keep getting ignored. Warranty support from this company is non-existent. Don't waste your time or your money. AVOID.READ FULL REVIEW
