Pros: It didn't completely crash my WIN7 install....
Uninstall feature works very ok
I didnt have an aneurysm trying to get this product to work
Cons: I was very enthusiastic as many here were about converting over to a tuner based experience through WMC as I use my HTPC / 54" plasma as my main entertainment / PC combo...
Ill get straight to the point .... I have been building custom PC's for more than 10 yrs - everything from budget to $$$$$ rigs with quad SLI water cooled everything and many types of RAID arrays as main or storage drive configs....I also do intermediate level IT work with Home systems integration for a living....
From the word GO the Ceton InfiniTV has been a COMPLETE and UTTER FAILURE .... Without waisting any more of my time Im only here to WARN others that the drivers for this product are a MAJOR DISASTER.... My own custom PC has been the most stable rig I have ever used until installing this product.... My system has crashed more than a dozen times while trying to configure and initialize this product for use....Several times it has rebooted spontaneously with my main RAID drive going offline as well !!!! ( a 3ware 9650se - one of the most reliable raid controllers ever made)
When the tuners were finally recognized by WMC I only got as far as the tuner was ready for ACTIVATE DIGITAL TUNER.... WMC could not advance beyond this point....I finally gave up after several calls to TIME WARNER to ask them for help and many HOURS googling for answers.... My cable card was VALIDATED and all lights were green with CETON diagnostic software ....This is NOT a WINDOWS ISSUE - It is a failure on the part of CETON CORP to fully develop the drivers to support WMC.... USE GOOGLE !! READ THE NEGATIVE reports of this product .....DO NOT be sucked in as I was thinking Wow this product has alot of good reviews - CETON CORP OFFERS NO PHONE SUPPORT - I can easily see why....
Other Thoughts: NO PHONE / TECH SUPPORT ARE YOU KIDDING ME = FAILREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Battlefield Bad Company 2 PC Game
Pros: *Lots of eye candy= graphics are WOW !!
*Sound is the best in game I've ever heard (but I do use my $3000 surround sound system via HDMI receiver 8D
Cons: *HORRIBLE GAMEPLAY = It reminds me alot of FARCRY on steroids
*NOOO prone position = are you kidding me????
*Allready MAJOR problems mapping to joystick / throttle controls / one example = will not map to any Z axis control period so no YAW controls
example = having throttle engaged causes player on foot to spin wildy
example = any button in BF2 can be cleared individually by pressing ESC
NOT with BFBC2 if you make a mistake mapping any button
START OVER !!!!!!
and these are the problems that i found in just the first hour during setup and some testing
gameplay is a SERIOUS JOKE that cost me $50
Im really mad that I didn't do my home work in this one
my kids could have used the money for lunch jk
Other Thoughts: I gave it 2 eggs just on the graphics and sound alone
Im sure the mapping problems will be worked out "eventually" but the overall gameplay =
E P I C F A I L U R E !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
going right back to BF2 and THE GREATEST FPS GAMEPLAY PERIOD out and this game is allready for sale on crai***ist
Pros: Blazing fast , looks great , no cartoonish emblems or pics on it, DX11 yes,
All I really play is BF2 which it handles easily with all settings maxxd.
Did I say IT LOOKS GREAT !!!
Its NOT that loud when fan speed is down to 20-25 percent
Cons: Some minor issues with output through ASUS HDVA 1.3 Deluxe, WINAMP and other DVD / video software is very reddish washout with SPLENDID video enhancement enabled. Disabling this feature fixes that issue / thought it was a driver conflict at first. Also will not play BF2 through the HDVA 1.3 Deluxe output / must send HDMI straight to Onkyo receiver but both of these issues are more the Sound card than the Video card.... I just wish ASUS had better driver for the soundcard. Im sure these issues will be addressed on some future update.
EGGSPENSIVE $$$ wont be going Xfire for a while but the reason I spent so much on this card to begin with is that I dont need 599 fps. cough. I spent the money on a great RAID controller card instead.
Catalyst software sometimes crashes but just restarting it fixes that.
Cranking up the fan manually past 35-40 percent gets obnoxiously loud. I m saving for a Fesser CPU / GPU cooling block / radiator set next .
Other Thoughts: Will definitely add second one at some point. I have EVGA P55 now which is only PCI-E x16 x8 in crossfire so im probably going to upgrade first to new 1156 MB with x16 x16 pci-e
