Pros: very good processor. I was going to buy the 4930k but decided to give this a shot (I was going to return it for a 4930k if I didn't like it), but I am liking it very much. I went from a 3570k @ 4.2 (1.18v -- 66C--cooled by a custom water cooling kit) to 4820k @ 4.2 (1.085v --49C--cooled by the same water cooling loop), give this processor a chance and you will like it.
Cons: new chip, you might need motherboard vendors to update the biosREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: WoW, what can i say..I was one of the first original owners of this card. I ended up returning my old unit out since MSI and under nvidia's restrictions.......so OC was a no go for me.
1. great build
2. flashed old bios, unlocked everything
3. tons of fps and runs cool
Cons: nothing right nowREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SeaSonic X Series X-850 (SS-850KM3 Active PFC F3) 850W ATX12V v2.3 / EPS 12V v2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready
Pros: 1. good build quality
2. good price (110$ on sale)
3. black modular cables
4. flat cables
5. tons of power
7. 7 year warranty
Cons: nothing at this point, although I am a little concerned that my 12V rail is actually at 11.94 (software), but It could be nothing. software can be little inaccurate at times.
Other Thoughts: first time trying seasonic. I bought this unit for a secondary pc I was working on. Initially was going to buy the 1250W unit or the corsair 1200I unit, but after reading some reviews online this unit seemed to fit the needs. I have not experienced the high pitched noise everyone is talking about, well not yet atleast. I do like the size on this unit, it is pretty small for a 850W unit. Also runs very cool, I have it on the hybrid mode so the fan is turned off most of the time.
Pc components this unit is powering
1. 3570k @ 4.2ghz
2. 2x Evga gtx 660 ti----(Sli)
3. 1x ocz agility 4
4. 1x wd raptor 600gb
5. 8gb corsair dominator @ 1600 mhz
6. Asus z77 gene V
7. D5 water pump
8. 5 x 1850 rpm gentle typhoon
9. Nzxt LED lightning
All housed in a switch 810 case
I hope this unit is reliable, I do use a corsair hx850 (850W) In another pc I use, and Enermax maxrevo 1350W and both have been rock soild. I also have tried 2x gtx 680 classified on this unit and everything worked great. Will update this review if I notice any high pitched noise.
