CyberpowerPC Desktop PC Gamer Ultra 2138 AMD FX-Series FX-8320 (3.50 GHz) 8 GB DDR3 1 TB HDD Windows 8

  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Good hard drive space.
Nice case.

Cons: Got a replacement - first computer the hard drive failed.
The fan in the PSU has broken after 3 months.
Terrible graphics card.
I also received an AMD-8120 3.1GHz processor when it was advertised as an AMD-8320 3.5GHz. I contacted NewEgg and they told me that since I noticed it AFTER 1 month of having it, there's nothing they can do.

Other Thoughts: It's a good thing this is discontinued. Also will never be buying from Cyberpower again since they like to send out the wrong parts.

Pros: Very clear picture.

Good for the basics - Netflix, games.

Cons: Seems somewhat slow to me on boot-ups occasionally, but if you restart it, it fixes itself 99% of the time.

Seems a bit buggy with web browsing, although that may be due to the default browser. I've used Firefox on my phone and it seems way better.

Other Thoughts: Considering I've only used it a few times since I bought this as a birthday gift for my girlfriend, I can't say too much about it but I like to review everything I buy.

Pros: This computer was GREAT when it worked, if you read my previous review. Everything still applies.

Cons: I've had the computer for just under 2 weeks, while I was playing WoW last night I had 2 Blue Screens. I proceeded to try to resolve the problem, ran security scans, did whatever I knew to do. Got 4 more Blue Screens while running scans and a system restore - great!

Now, my computer won't boot up. The automatic repair fails, I can't do a system restore because the local disk is "locked", I can't do a factory reset.

To top it all off, the Windows 8 disc that was given to me with the computer, is an INVALID media format. Awesome. So I can't even boot from CD to reformat.

Never again will I purchase a CyberpowerPC, this was the worst experience I've ever had.

Other Thoughts: I'm a super nerd when it comes to my computer, my old computer died on me after 6 years and I went without a computer for 3 months because I had to save up.

After having this beast of a machine, then to have it die after 2 weeks, was such a disappointment. Now I get to wait another month for the return shipping, a refund, and the new computer to come.
