Pros: It actually works, the first time!
SATA power connector is firmly attached.
Two year warranty.
Cons: None so far, but I will update this review if that changes.
Other Thoughts: I purchased a VIA based Syba card first. I read the reviews, they were bad, but I bought it anyway thinking I could make it work. I was wrong. Round one: Syba 1, Me 0.
I found this one on Newegg and it had no reviews. So I looked up SUNIX and read about the product on their page. I was impressed enough by the apparent quality that I went ahead and ordered one. I picked it up today, opened the case and plugged it in where the Syba was. Powered up and Windows 8.1 detected it and everything plugged into it the first time, didn't even need the included CD. That's how it's supposed to work!
Final score: SUNIX 1, Me 1
This review is from: Intel DH61BF Desktop Motherboard - Intel H61 Express Chipset - Socket H2 LGA-1155
Pros: This is a great board for the money, as are most Intel boards. I'm not sure why more people haven't left reviews.
Cons: None. If you want more features, slots, connectors, etc. spend more money. Don't buy the cheapest board you can find and then complain about it.
Other Thoughts: It's all about value. I own a small IT business and have been building and selling Intel based systems for many years. I have had an occasional defective part, but not any more from Intel than from any other manufacturer. This board and a Pentium or i3 processor make for a great basic office or home computer. If you want to add a little more zip, consider an SSD or one of the new hybrid SSHD drives.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Foxconn H61MX LGA 1155 Intel H61 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Cheapest 1155 board on Newegg. Decent specs, ports, etc.
Cons: Like the other reviewers, mine booted once. I set the BIOS date and time, saved and rebooted to a black screen. Powers on and off a few times on it's own like it's trying to detect the CPU model. Based on the reviews I'm guessing this is a bad batch of motherboards or BIOS chips. I will try calling Foxconn for a new BIOS chip as posted in another review.
Other Thoughts: Don't they test these things before they ship them?READ FULL REVIEW
