EVGA 04G-P4-3966-KR GeForce GTX 960 4GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 SLI Support SuperSC ACX 2.0+ Video Card

Pros: Usually I wait a bit to review, but wow.

Card Idles at 38 without the fans on when web browsing, 27 if you turn the fans on with EVGA Precision X Low setting. Has not gone over 60 ever while games. Might overclock it. Very efficient on power and has handled everything I throw at it.

The extra cuda cores are great for Premiere, will edit 4K GH4 files layered in realtime without breaking a sweat.

Cons: A bit big, but not so heavy as you need extra support.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you get the 4gb version if you use After Effects, it's worth it!

Pros: Incredibly dependable. Have had it air cooled for 3 years at 4.3 and the thing has not blinked once. Plenty of power for even the most demanding programs and games.

Cons: Nothing

Astro Gaming MixAmp Pro - Wired with Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound

5 out of 5 eggs A Film Watchers Perspective 01/11/2014

This review is from: Astro Gaming MixAmp Pro - Wired with Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound

Pros: Perfect 5.1 Surround Reproduction.

Cons: Proprietary Optical Audio Cable (~8' long)

Other Thoughts: Wow.

I found this while searching for a device that would allow me to listen to Blu-ray films through headphones. My current apartment prevents me from running my surround setup at night. Given that this is mainly advertised as a gaming device I did not expect the highest quality sound.

Needless to say it has exceeded all my expectations and then some. The entire sound field is perfectly mixed with great surround simulation. Ran Scott Pilgrim, Drive, Akira, & District 9 to test and every moment sounds FLAWLESS. Dialog is clean and clear, with crystal clear highs, midrange, lows, and great bass. Highly Recommended!

3 things to note.
-The Optical audio cable packaged with it must be used, as it has a unique end to attach to the mixer. Thankfully the cable is relatively long.
-7.1 content seems to mix more heavily in the rear/side, though this may be the PS3 and not the mixer.
-Near the very very low end of the volume, individual channels start lowering at an uneven rate in 5.1 mode.

***Make sure you have a great set of studio headphones to get the most out of it!***
