This review is from: NVIDIA® SHIELD™ Portable
Pros: -Stream games away from Pc
Cons: -350mbps for 5ghz channel
-can only connect through channel 149 and up for 5ghz
Other Thoughts: Its a decent device that can stream games when your not in your room or simply just laying in bed. The shield can only receive 350mbps for 5ghz; So if your looking for a dual band router dont buy the overly expensive 1350mbps or even 800 mbps for the 5ghz channel.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm
Pros: Same performance as a high end Air cooler.
Cons: If you currently have Noctua Nh-d14, you dont need this unless you care about what the inside of your case looks like
Other Thoughts: - Only lasted 8 months the fan header/plug broke off easily ; noticed one of the fans on the rad wasnt working then I tried unpluging and repluging the fan connector on the block. Then it fell through; switched the fan connector the the other plug and the h100i wouldnt work.
Rma is a pain. Called customer service; was on the phone 30-40 min waiting. After the phone call finished i went to my local computer store to buy a replacement heatsink and when i got everything installed and working I found out the Corsair Customer service rep dint even start the RMA process. I was infuriated because why did I wait on the phone for 40 min.
Pros: -Performance in Bf4 is a step up from my 7870 in crossfire: with the crossfire setup i was getting 50-60 fps in operation locker and with a single 780ti ive seen up to 120fps as the highest. In metro last light with everything on ultra the avg ive seen in the intro was 73fps
-Assassins creed IV you get 62-63fps even if you turn off vsync in the game/nvidia control panel; the game has vsynce hardlocked into the game so I hope theirs a patch to fix this.
-This card is great with oc's and the temps stay where they should. On stock this thing reaches 82c and with a 225 offset to the core with a 106 power target it reaches 84c with auto fan settings. When you put this card on a custom fan setting thats a whole different story: 70% fan the temps max ive seen is 70-75c on Evga OC furmark.
-Nvidia geforce experiance is like a dream because it does a clean install for you, if you choose custom install and check that option. Also this program tells you whenever new drivers/beta drivers are out. Before with my AMD i had to go into regedit, appdata local, and so on constanlty because AMD release beta drivers like almost every week or 2 weeks. So you understand why it can get tedious
-Evga has 24/7 phone support; how many companies do you know have this.
Cons: -obviously the price because your paying $150 more for 10 frames compared to the competitor but i'd like to think that i payed sticker price on the 3 games that it came with.
-If your wondering when you turn your pc on and the log in sound is non-existent; you can blame Nvidia streamer service for that. To fix this you uncheck nvidia streaming in the geforce experience preference tab and go into msconfig and uncheck Nvidia streaming service as a start up program.
Other Thoughts: I chose this over the 290x because i was looking into this card and i found out that the 290x's actual shader performance is 1830.4 meaning they disabled the rest. So i have no clue why their advertising it as 2816 cores. Also with all the videos ive seen on the 290x the fluctuations in gpu performance was disturbing; even with a custom fan setting on the 290x you still see random dips on the graph.READ FULL REVIEW
