Pros: Bye Bye cable box/dvr fees
Cons: Well worth the $99 I paid ( I bought three) but would have a hard time with the $179 regular price unless Ceton was updating the firmware.
Other Thoughts: I'm writing this update to make anyone struggling to find a workable remote to replace the terrible Ceton remote. This the model number HP D4000 5189-3685. Its a universal remote with volume mapping. You can also program the power button to turn off/on your TV. Check the brand list, but it works great with my Sony. Now I only need one remote :) I was having trouble with my Sony recognizing the Ceton HDMI input, but I now turn the Ceton on first then the TV. Problem solved.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I Own It! No Box rental fees, Saves me $30 month.
Low power consumption
HD picture quality is excellent
Cons: Some what buggy. Have had occasional freezes, reboots.
Getting my wife/family to use it.
The remote is a joke
My 42" Sony does not recognize the hdmi connection of the Ceton at power-up
Other Thoughts: If you buy one of these be ready to do some maintenance to keep this up and running. I really wanted to rid myself of the cable box/dvr fees so I took a chance despite the mediocre reviews. I paid $99 and would not pay full price based on my experience's so far. Would I buy them again...Yes. Its really the only option besides the Xbox.READ FULL REVIEW
