Good Fan
Pros: Quiet, low profile fan with lots of accessories and a pretty box. I checked the RPM at 12VDC and found the RPM to be about 10% higher than the rated 5000RPM, but found the fan to be drawing about 3/5 of its rated current. Good Noctua.
Cons: I should have bought 2.
Overall Review: I purchased a pair of filters for this one, and one filter limited the airflow quite a bit. I already punched the hole in the chassis, so I kind of ruined my ability to mount two side by side. I might try a deeper fan or stacking one behind the other.
Not Good for MBD-X7SPE-HF-D525
Pros: Newegg Sells barebones kits for the Supermicro SPEHF-D525 servers with this ram. I'm sure that Kingston does test their RAM.
Cons: I used this RAM with the MBD-X7SPE-HF-D525 and the server would not boot. I went through all of the troubleshooting steps, but it was no good.
Overall Review: Borrowed some RAM from my laptop and the server booted fine. I tried each of the two sticks that I purchased by themselves in each of the ram slots. It was no good. Kingston does reference this RAM for this Motherboard. I wonder if they changed something. Other reviewers said it worked in their Supermicro build.
Gret performance for the money
Pros: Small Light Easy to Mount Cools much better than a stock aluminum air cooler. 10°C-17°C drop in temperature, depending on the motherboard. Thermal compound evenly spread on the bottom of the cooler.
Cons: Fan might be hard to find a replacement for in the future?
Overall Review: We have 4 older computers we built years ago for our business that are still running pretty quick thanks to the use of fast RAM and Kingston HyperX SSD. Two of them use A10-5800K and two use A8-5600K. Both are 100W TDP CPUs. One of them started shutting down during it's morning virus scan. Thanks to the SSD, the virus scan takes the CPU to 100% load, utilizing all 4 cores. Being that these CPUs are APUs, I later found out that they tend to run much hotter than a regular CPU with the same TDP. After I blew the 8 or so years of dust that made it through the cases dust filters, the reboot's became less frequent. I tried replacing the thermal compound and noticed very little difference. I estimate that the stock coolers were really only designed for about 65W TDP and thus not capable of cooling properly. Using HWMonitor, I found the CPUs were getting to 91°C. Their listed thermal limit is 74°C. We purchased one of these coolers, not wanting to throw a lot of money towards an 8 year old computer. We noticed a temperature drop of 10°C-12°C, especially after updating the BIOS so that the PWM profile would actually do something on one of the two MSI FM2-A55M-E35 motherboards. Being impressed with the results and not wanting to see an issue in the other computers, we ordered 3 more of the GAMMAXX 300's. The ASUS FM2A78M-HD+ motherboard PWM was not as aggressive enough in "Turbo mode" and a BIOS update did not help the PWM profile perform any better, and only actually got up to 1200 RPM in "Turbo" mode (manual mode was useless at 1000 RPM no matter the temperature). The ASUS only saw a 10°C drop during it's daily virus scan. One of our later-built computers has an MSI A78-E45 V2 motherboard. It's PWM profile works perfectly and was able to achieve an impressive 17°C drop as it's PWM would actually take the fan to 100% speed at about 1600 RPM. The MSI A78-E45 V2 motherboard PWM never got the CPU above 74°C. The other two MSI motherboards now take much longer to get above 74°C and when stressed, will not get above 79°C.
Great laptop. I should have bought 2
Pros: Speedy M.2 SSD large HDD Good CPU Good RAM Great Graphics Great Display Resolution Great Battery Life Great Touchpad (so far)
Cons: Didn't have Windows 10 Pro No optical drive.
Overall Review: I think this device is about perfect. I know there are better out there, but I don't think there is much better at the price point, especially for the sale and promo codes I was able to use. I just wish I had bought a second one.
Good Quality
Pros: Good quality construction. Low price. Works as expected.
Cons: Shipping directly from China.
Overall Review: Even though it had to ship from China, I received these filters in a little over a week.
Love this product
Pros: Crystal clear sound, and placing your finger over the sound tube totally mutes the headset.
Cons: This isn't actually what I received. The base station was the same, but the headset didn't use the sound tube.
Overall Review: Fortunately, I was replacing a dead base station, so I can keep using my old sound tube headset. All of the other parts for the new headset were compatible with the old one.
Quick Shipping
I didn't expect the part I ordered to ship locally, but I got them in a few days!
Hassle Free Return
I bought the wrong pen for my tablet. AntOnline made it easy to return the pens. I got an RMA right away!
