Decent Budget Laptop
Pros: -Good price point -Hard drive is Western Digital -Looks sexy without being too flashy -Decent keyboard for a laptop -4+ hours of battery life with power management (only 1.5-2 while gaming) -Button to disable touchpad is a godsend
Cons: -TN Panel -Runs really hot when gaming -Touchpad is meh, I use a mouse anyway
Overall Review: You'd think that getting a thicker laptop due to it having an optical drive would translate to decent airflow/cooling. Unfortunately that's not the case here as most games will push the CPU temps up to 90c. Get a cooling pad if you plan on buying this laptop, she's toasty. Docked an egg for this. Otherwise it's a good machine for the price. Some people have been complaining about the webcam not functioning or being detected. It is off by default and can be enabled by pressing Fn+F6
It's alright
Pros: -Rubberized grip -Ambidextrous -Above average DPI -Very low friction -Low Price
Cons: -Awkward shape to grip. (probably just me) -Way too light. The cord is stiff enough to influence the mouse's movement. -Mouse wheel needs more resistance. If you accidently touch it, it will move. -Side buttons are junk. They are positioned awkwardly and I find myself pushing them in without hitting the actuation point quite often. -Movement sensor picks up surfaces too far away. Whenever I have to reposition the mouse, I find it tracking too high off of the table.
Overall Review: This mouse is alright for the price. Would recommend if you aren't as much of a perfectionist as me and you need a cheap mouse, but I've had better experience with cheaper mice.
Decent for a budget build
Pros: -Decently priced (payed 80 CAD for mine) -80 plus bronze -Still working after almost 3 years -Sleeved cables. -Has a high quality feel
Cons: -Wattage advertisement (see other thoughts) -Not fully modular
Overall Review: I'm not sure whether or not I have an old revision of this PSU but looking on the box, mine clearly shows having only 648 watts on the +12v rail. One of the pictures for this particular model on the product page shows 750w for the +12v but that is clearly not the case with the one I have. I'm not sure where discrepancies arose but I've docked an egg due to shoddy advertisement.
Some really awesome goop
Pros: Really good thermals and it has a thick consistency. I hate runny TIM as it can make a mess of everything. Priced very decently too.
Cons: Maybe it's because I received it as a freebie with a zalman heatsink, but I peeled off the label to find the tube was only a third full. Can't complain, it was free.
Overall Review: Using it with a Zalman CNPS 9900NT. At stock, my x4 965 BE idles at 25C and under prime95 maxes out at 45C. I OC'd it to 4ghz and now it idles at 27C with prime95 maxing out at 57C.
Who needs more than this?
Pros: Runs extremely quiet and cool. Touching the heatpipes literally warms the GPU up, it only gets warm under load and even then it's not even 60 degrees. As for the performance, it is ridiculously good considering the price. It blows away 560 I have been using at work for benchmarks, (about 50-80% better FPS in heaven benchmark at max) and for only 30 or so dollars more.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Phenom ii x4 965 BE @3.4 8gb Corsair Vengeance @ 1600 This card :)
