Pros: High feature content for the price. Great specs. In theory should be a great machine.
Cons: Loses sight of all networks. Nonexistent HP support. Crummy trackpad without separate mouse buttons. Windows 8.1 is simply awful.
Other Thoughts: My Pavilion DV9933 lasted 6 years. I literally wore out a keypad and two track pads. The Envy is a different kettle of fish: it's got great specs but simply doesn't work. The wifi loses sight of all networks after anything between a few minutes and a few days.
Talked with HP tech support about two weeks after I bought the machine. He committed to taking the machine back for service for a KNOWN wifi problem. (It's all over the internet, too.) I just spent 2-1/2 hours trying to talk to HP. All of the techs were too lazy to look up the prior conversations and everyone provided a different idea. None of them responded to questions. It's like they knew enough English to read from the script but not enough to conduct a conversation with a real customer. I talked to 4 different tech specialists because HP is so cheap that the connection to India went down three times! Finally I told the fourth tech that I wanted to be escalated -- he said somebody would contact me in a day or two and then disconnected the chat. Don't let the specs fool you: the wifi will frustrate you to tears and HP won't stand behind their product. I got mine from octsoC so it's going back and then I will buy a machine from somebody else.
Stay away from this piece of junk.
Pros: High level of features: wifi, Android store, mp3, mp4, expansion slot, compact
Cons: Slow, USB port failed, low battery life
Other Thoughts: Great value for about forty bucks... if it worked. I really loved it as a way to play my EDX videos in the car through the Aux input jack. Great for the gym. Like a little itty bitty baby tablet. But that nmad USB port failed and now its toast: no way to charge itREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: QFX Wood H-101 3.5mm Connector Wood Stereo Earbuds
Pros: Cheap. Wood surface appearance.
Cons: Sound like wood. Wood surface is poorly finished. Not comfortable.
Other Thoughts: This one looks just like it sounds. Or is that, this one sounds just like it looks. It sounds like wood. Dull. That wooden surface itself is dull. Nor are these earphones comfortable. In fact, I had entirely blocked these from my memory until I stumbled across them while scrolling through my account. If you're thinking of ordering these, try to do the same: forget them!READ FULL REVIEW
