Great deal!
Pros: Great price! My two units have no flaws and a great picture! (Some tweaking of the settings was needed to make the colors match on both units.) I'm used to 1280x1024 so the extra resolution is a nice bonus.
Cons: The stand that comes with these is a little high off the desk even at the lowest position, (when arranged horizontally) but I intend to make my own stand anyway. (Which will be easy with these.) Also although I love 1600x1200 resolution, the inevitable side effect is the in most software the default text size is smaller than I'm used to. (That's what it's supposed to do and you can always use a lower resolution.)
Overall Review: I use my dual monitor setup to develop software. At first, I was just looking to buy a couple 4:3 monitors to replace my existing dual monitor system. Unlike my previous monitors, just I wanted both models to match so I could line them up nicely on my desk. That was my ONLY goal. I was expecting only 19" displays, but got 20". (YAY!!) I was expecting max resolution of only 1280x1024, but got 1600x1200. (DOUBLE YAY!!!!) I was expecting to pay about $280 for two monitors, but paid $180 including tax! (TRIPLE YAY!!!!!) Surprisingly, even if I switch to 1280x1024 resolution, I get a picture BETTER than my previous two monitors, which were natively 1280x1024! $100 saved - bigger screen - sharper resolution - What's not to like???? Oh, and right now on this site there's a brand new monitor with similar specs... Guess what: $387 EACH. So you're really saving $300 on this monitor and that's well worth the possibility of a few bad pixels or a return.
