Pros: Extremely bright and beautiful display, 120hz is immensely fluid in 2D, and 3D movies are just gorgeous. The screen is more than bright enough to offset the decrease in brightness from the glasses and duplicated images.
Also with my last monitor, if I laid down in bed to watch Netflix, the angle made most movies hard to see any dark parts. This particular monitor works lovely at almost all angles from what I can see.
Cons: There is an immense amount of ghosting with the default glasses when playing games. After doing a lot of research, I decided to try out the newer pair that recently came out (Samsung SSG-3550CR 3D Rechargeable Active Glasses).
I can confirm at least with these SSG-3550CR glasses, the ghosting with gaming is almost nonexistent now, depending on your angle. You rarely notice it unless you're trying to spot it.
So, if you're getting this monitor for gaming, I HIGHLY recommend replacing the standard pair with the newer ones listed above. Because if you don't, the ghosting may drive you insane and/or give you a headache.
Other Thoughts: -1 star for the sub-par pair of glasses that come with the monitor that seemingly don't sync very well (at least with gaming), however getting a replacement pair of the newer SSG-3550CR glasses was really easy to find online and only another $50 or so (depending on where you go, and might be cheaper by the time you read this), and the end result is absolutely beautiful.
I would have taken off two stars, but the end result of this monitor and the newer glasses is so good I forgive all the researching and hunting I had to do. It's that good. Well worth it.
Pros: Great transfer rates. Plenty of space. Easy to set up.. Hasn't failed.
Cons: Currently expensive.
Other Thoughts: Bad timing on purchase. Flooding in Thailand has made the price jump to $120 for this drive, apparently 200% more than it was previously judging by other reviews. Here's to hoping we don't see more speculators driving up prices, though I think prices will only continue to rise for the next few months.
I might hold off on buying a new HDD and keeping an eye on Thailand for now.
This review is from: Vivitar 5350s Silver 5.0 MP 3X Optical Zoom Digital Camera
Pros: Nice size, very light-weight, decent zoom, takes good pictures with the flash on, the LCD screen is very big for the size of the camera.
Cons: 1.) Stock memory is VERY small, take VERY few pictures and even fewer videos.
2.) The video and audio quality is very low.
3.) Without using flash, this camera has a huge blurring problem.
If you're like me, you like natural lighting, and using the flash completely changes a picture IMO, loses all the lighting that made me want to take the picture in the first place, so I'm a huge fan of not using flash.
But, with this camera, you have no choice. If the lighting conditions are anything less than perfect (ex: not using flash), the camera adds a HORRIBLE motion blur.
Unless you set the camera set down and turn the timer on, every single hand-taken picture without flash will come out blurry. For me, this was a waste of money.
Other Thoughts: Fine for anyone who just wants pictures. If you want to have any other lighting aside from that blinding-flash light, you'll need a different camera or else you'll only get blurry pics.READ FULL REVIEW
