Pros: Cranked right-up and immediately recognized all ELEVEN devices on our (home) network. Increased speeds versus previous DIR-655 by approximately 136%. Goes through 3 walls and totally encompasses a 4000+ sq ft. house. Also works perfectly on both 2.4 and 5 GB bands.
Cons: Had to print and study a 180 page manual before getting the results above. For $309, one would think that D-Link could include a hard copy printed manual. Also, BE SURE to update the firmware before making a final judgement on the efficacy of this router. It will NOT perform up to capacity or meet initial expectations unless firmware is updated. Also, suggest you ensure that your modem can handle the throughput. (we have a Motorola Arris 6183).
Other Thoughts: $309 is a big tag but if one relies on internet speed for streaming as much as we do, it is totally worth it!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Patriot Supersonic Xpress 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model PSF32GXPUSB
Pros: Works flawlessly. Retractable cap. Excellent customer service (which I consider to be part of the overall brand "experience".) See review of Jan 23 for initial problem. Had to return item. Patriot sent me an immediate RMA with no push-back as did Newegg. I chose Newegg because Patriot wanted me to pay for shipping whereas Newegg provided the pre-paid shipping label. Got replacemenrt within 5 days and all good now. Product does indeed hold 128GBs (some counterfeits do not - which I suspect is the cause of the initial problem) - and works as expected. Not the fastest in the world but for the price is an excellent performer. Buy with confidence and KOODOOS to Newegg for GREAT service! .
Cons: None now- see above. Very satisfied.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Patriot Supersonic Xpress 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model PSF128GXPUSB
Pros: Don't know- never got it to work! Do like size and retractable tip- MUCH better than caps that I always seem to lose! Also has little hook for lanyard, if one wishes.
Cons: Drive arrived write protected - could not use. Would NOT format by right clicking. So went on Patriot website and looked for solution. Downloaded Patriot software for this specific drive and this specific issue. After opening and running as Administrator per Patriot's instructions, got a little message that said: "Restore failed- contact your vendor, Error Code 121. So have asked Patriot for an RMA and to send a replacement drive that is not write-protected upon arrival. Meanwhile, after applying the Patriot software fix mentioned above, my computer no longer even recognizes the drive, which is now essentially dead. Even the little blue light no longer blinks. Will provide updates on Patriot's response.READ FULL REVIEW
