This review is from: DBTech Big Digital LED Calendar Clock w/ Day Date & Temperature (12" Green LED)
Pros: If you need/desire a large readout clock for your ET Center, etc, this clock will do it. Easy to setup (if you read the instructions).
Large bright LEDs that could easily be seen from long distances (further than an average living room for sure).
Only consumes 1.5Watts of power (measured with my Kill-A-Watt meter).
Cons: Way too bright on the highest of the (3) settings and still a bit too bright even on the lowest DIM setting. It is almost distractingly bright even on the lowest setting.
If it matters to you, the AM/PM lighted indicator is much dimmer and pretty much unreadable unless you are close. That wasn't an issue for me, but I mention it anyway.
The unit has no feet or stabilizers, so it can tip over if jostled since it sits on a 1.5" flat footprint. I put a 1.5" strip of heavy duty Velcro under ours and it stays put.
Other Thoughts: It is a physically large rectangle, occupying just under 12" in length, 6" in height and 1.5" deep. The Clock LEDs are 1.5" (readable size) and the Date LEDs are 1" (readable size). The Temperature LED has an "F" to the right of it and the F is not lit. It is more or less there to tell you that the temp is in Fahrenheit.
3rd party company that fulfilled this order for NewEgg shipped it promptly and it was adequately packaged to prevent damage.
Pros: Excellent air movement (CFMs) and these fans are quiet. The LEDs are just right on the brightness. I made a mistake and ordered the Purple LED Fans instead of Blue, but after I got them installed, they look great and I like the color a lot! A BIG PLus for me was that these fans come already sleeved (in black). I wish all Fan manufacturers would sleeve the cables like Xigmatek did for these Fans!
Other Thoughts: The outside case of these Fans has no channel or space for the fan cable to snake between (2) Fans that are butted together. So, if you are installing these in a multi-Fan array, butted together, the fan cables will have to run on the outside, not in-between a pair of fans. This is not a "con", just mentioning in case being able to snake cables between (2) fans is a need.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Scythe KQ02-BK Kaze Q12 12-Channel Fan Controller for 5.25" bay, Black Color
Pros: Price is very reasonable. Controls mire fans than I've ever seen from any manufacturer. Works and looks great, especially in a Corsair 800D type cabinet (matches well).
Cons: None operationally that I have found. It would have been good if the overall chassis for this product extended back far enough to hold each side with 2 screws, but not a big thing (it is just pretty short).
Other Thoughts: The Blue LEDs will activate whether a fan is connected or not, so if you want lights, they will be there for you. The LEDs light drains off slowly when you turn the adjustment know all the way to off (takes a few seconds but they eventually will go off).READ FULL REVIEW
