Pros: Least expensive drive on the market that 240GB. The latest firmware was already included on the drive. My boot time takes 1/4 of the time it used to, but most of that is probably due to a reinstall of windows than the drive.
Cons: Oddly enough, this drive shows up as "Toshiba SCSI Dsik Device" because it's made with Toshiba memory chips". There is no driver update (not that it needs one) but I'd prefer it to say Mushkin or Chronos. This is very minor.
Other Thoughts: Windows Performance gives this drive a 7.3. This is a huge step up from the two 120GB drives I had striped for speed which only got a 5.9 in Windows. It's now my highest rated hardware for speed.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: BIOSTAR TA790GX XE AM3/AM2+ AMD 790GX HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: This motherboard was paired with a Phenom X2 9850 Black edition process or and 4GB of Gskill PC2 9600 ram. It never crashes and runs windows 7 ultimate 64 bit like a charm. I also have raid 1 (Mirrored) hard drives and that works great too. I leave it running 24/7 and only have to reboot for windows updates every couple weeks.
Cons: I'm sure there is something but I don't use that feature.
Other Thoughts: This is a solid board for the money. You really can't beat this price for the power you get with AMD. True I'd love a core I7 but it's only a little faster and 3 times as expensive.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Ram rates as a 7.1 in Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Been using it for almost a year now and my system never crashes. Paried with a phenom 2 9850 black edition and an inexpensive gigabyte mobo GA-MA770-UD3 this system has been great.
Cons: There are faster timings available, but the cost increase isn't worth it unless you are a benchmarker.
Other Thoughts: I've used Gskill for several systems and they've worked great for every system.READ FULL REVIEW
