GIGABYTE GM-KRYPTON Black 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser 8200 dpi Aivia Krypton Dual-chassis Gaming Mouse
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Looks great and feels great
Highly Customizable
Awesome for FPS games

Cons: Not really a con, but it would be great if this mouse had the option to be wireless, and charged on an optional USB cable. Just saying

Laser tracking stopped functioning 6 months in

Other Thoughts: This mouse was great the first 6 months I owned it. Hands down the best mouse I've ever had. However, it started to skip and stutter and slow down to a halt after the first several months and it hasn't gotten any better despite many attempts to correct the problem. I've tried plugging it in to a different usb port, using a different computer all together, different mouse pads, clearing the memory on the mouse itselfs, and nothing seems to work. Even at its highest dpi setting it (the cursor) will stutter and stop as you move the mouse across the surface of the mouse pad. I finally contact Gigabyte about the issue and they approved an attempt at repair, so I'm boxing it up and sending it out tomorrow. I'm hoping I can just get a new one, but I doubt it. Like I said in the title, it was great while it lasted

4 out of 5 eggs Pretty Cool, could be better 03/10/2013

This review is from: Antec Kuhler H2O 620 Liquid Cooling System

Pros: It's big and lightweight
Nice amount of USB ports
Duel video cards

Cons: Keys are somewhat tiny but you get use to it.
It's sooooooooooooooo slow!! I was expecting more from having an i7 CPU and dedicated video card (the nvidia one), but the thing crawls in many ways. This was mostly fixed by buying another harddrive that was smaller but 7200rpm Sata 3Gbs. It works a lot better now but still not where I would want it.
Sound is not up to par but again you can tweak a few settings and get it where you like it.
Decent for gaming but I wouldn't count on running any newer titles with ease.

Other Thoughts: With 6 gigs of ram just remove your page file and do yourself a favor. It helps unless you're running some memory intensive programs or doing any type of programming.
