Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate (CL-W007-PL12BL-A) Enthusiasts Class Water/Liquid CPU Cooler 360MM

5 out of 5 eggs Wow wicked cool (But will it last?) 06/20/2015

This review is from: Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate (CL-W007-PL12BL-A) Enthusiasts Class Water/Liquid CPU Cooler 360MM

Pros: Great cooling for a sealed cooler

Cons: Install is a bit of a pain

Other Thoughts: I bout this to replace my TT Watercool 2.0 Pro that died after 4 years of running 24x7. I'm a novice overclocker on a budget so this was a great cooler choise. I'm running an LGA 1366 i7 980 (6 core). Stock is 3.33MHz. I have it at 4.6Mhz

With this 38% overclock my CPU temps top out at 55 degrees C.There is some mild pump and fan noise, but you can almost eliminate it by dialing back the fans to 1000 RPM which still gives ample cooling for hard gaming.

5 out of 5 eggs Best Value 200mm Fits Thermaltake Case 01/22/2015

This review is from: Cooler Master MegaFlow 200 - Sleeve Bearing 200mm Blue LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases

Pros: -Quiet
-Cheap
-Direct replacement for Thermaltake 200mm case fan

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Screw holes lined up with my Thermaltake Chaser full tower. Can't beat the price. Will be good enough until Noctua launches their 200mm later this year.

NF-F12 iPPC-3000 PWM Fan with Focused Flow™ and SSO2 Bearing
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: - Noctua Legendary quality
- Now noise at 1200 RPM
- Insane CFM at 3000 RPM
- Rubber cover over mounting points for vibration reduction
- Surprisingly low power usage
- Industrial grade
6 year warranty

Cons: - Pricey for a 120mm fan but you get what you pay for.
- Noisy at 3000 RPM, but this should be expected

Other Thoughts: I wanted to try them out on my CPU cooler since I enjoy OC'ing. I can now get a stable 38% overclock on my i7 980 CPU. These Noctua fans shaved 12 degrees off at 3000 RPM compared to the stock fans. They'll probably sit at low RPMs most of the time, but they should last many years, and I can always use a few 120mm fans in future builds.
