Pros: - gives a feel of comfort running 2 years old games like dirt 3 all maxed out X8 AA 1920 x 1200 100-120 FPS .
- overclocks well on the memory (1600- 1700) but less on the core clock (1155)
-hefty and heat tolerant and runs much cooler than previous generation cards
Cons: - Performence increase from a generation to another is served to us as drips of IV perfusion : minimal perfomence increase (visible to the naked eye) over 7950 : not worth the spending of more than 200$
-Extremely loud hissing coil whine sound when card is under stress ( gaming): very annoying makes up for the quieteness of the card
- power color customer service = joke, no knowledgeable tech support : they didin't know about the dual bios switch nature and what is loaded in each bios, and ignored the loud coil whine, warranty will not cover second owner of the card = big joke in the world of video cards ( compare with XFX bets warranty)
- ridiculous fans with low airflow and low profile fan curve ( changed with power color utility)
Other Thoughts: newer catalyst and driver from amd 14.4 allow very low clocks but stable on multi monitor, allowing lower heat and lower fan speeds but colors came washed out with no possible compensation , I had to revert to driver 12 on catalyst 13.4 to get back the real color scheme of my monitors but card run 15 degrees hotter because of the higher idle clocks: please fix this issue AMD !
Do yourself a favor and choose a different brand that offer more comprehensive customer support and warranty.
This review is from: G.SKILL FTB-3500C5-D Fans
Pros: - strong
Cons: metallic frame (shorts)
High speed but no air filters but led lights? lol sense of priorities really screaming :
Other Thoughts: modified (with pain) into 3 pin fan regular connector and hooked to motherboard extra CPU fan controller to cool for varable speed and low noise using it on top of North bridge Asus formula V corosshair mobo > after covering metallic frame with tape at it's ends
keeps North bridge below 60 degrees at 1400 RPM while gaming.
This review is from: iStarUSA BPU-126-SA 1 x 5.25" to 6 x 2.5" SATA 6.0 Gb/s Hot-Swap Cage
Pros: nice looking, well piced
Cons: As usual when it comes to hard drive bays you have to dig deep to find the capabilities of the bays (HDD capacity supported),
incomplete disclosure of merchandise info is cheating on customers, manufacturer are lucky there are always people in the middle of the tech road or in a hurry that unaware of the full specs would grab the item and won't bother rerun it to avoid the hassle and the loss.
