5 out of 5 eggs Great fit with the Bitfenix Prodigy 12/12/2013

This review is from: SeaSonic S12G S12G-650 650W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: I am quite happy with this PSU. I have been a fan of SeaSonic for a while as they make some of the best power supplies on the market, and even manufacture most of the components that end up in other manufacturer's high end PSU's. I value the PSU I put into a build very highly, as a low quality PSU can provide inconsistent voltage to components and shorten their lifespan. Also a poor quality power supply can catch fire/smoke.... I wish I could say I have not seen that happen.

I specifically got this model over others due to the 160mm length restrictions in the Bitfenix Prodigy case. I was a bit worried it would be hard to find a quality 600W+ PSU that would fit the bitfenix prodigy's 160mm length cap for the power supply bay. I was happy to find that this 140mm fits great! I did have to cut the zip tie that bundles up all the cables near the base of the PSU, but after doing that this psu fits great. It even left a nice bit of room on either side to stuff excess cables to reduce clutter.

Also, as most SeaSonic PSU's I have owned. This thing runs cool & quiet! Most of the time the fan does not even need to turn on :).

Cons: It isn't modular? Not really a con though as I knew that going into it. Also the price of this model is less than their modular ones.
