Pros: Ive been using this monitor for large amounts of photo editing for about a year, and it is by far the best one I've ever owned. The colors, contrast, and clarity are all spot on. Compared to the price points of the competitors, this thing is still the best bang for your buck youll find as a professional.
I'm usually too lazy to switch over to my Gaming monitor for leisure use, but I will say thing thing holds up to strenuous gaming as well!
Cons: As a professional panel this thing does generate some heat, nothing that would damage the panel. But like all high end electronics, its to be expected.
HPs support for this monitor is almost NON-EXISTENT! I bought this monitor without a stand, and it took me 2 weeks to track down just the PART NUMBER for the correct stand. Then it took another month to order the stand from a HP distributor not even connected to the actual HP company. The HP website is absolutely useless.
Other Thoughts: This is a superb product, and I'd buy one again if 4k Displays with 99-100% color-space weren't being released right now. Im going to use this thing until the day it falls apart and I have to order a new 4k display.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Runs like a beast. Has 4 different automated power modes/Clock Speeds; Start-up, Desktop, Gaming, High End Gaming. Because of these facts, it has the ability to stay cool 33c/44c just under standard internet browsing; and quiet. Running under EVGA Precision Auto fan control at 44% the program keeps the program minimally cool. But under heavy load and gaming the program fails at "Auto" control. The people getting the insanely high heat (of 70C+) is because they arent running the onboard fan at higher than 60%. You need to manually set it to 100% while gaming and you will never top 65C with good case airflow.
It tears through anything Ive thrown at it. Works well with CS4. And Video editing which I do as hobbies. Gives great 150-170FPS in games. Looks amazing. Havent lagged it yet.
At 40% fan speed, I hear my heatsink fan over this with the side panel off. With my case closed I barely hear anything.
Other Thoughts: Anyone who has any cons other than a DOA card obviously didnt do enough research, have horrible case air flow, or arent raising the fan speed on the card high enough. This thing will clock itself to the highest speed. But it will not raise the fan to the highest speed; that must be done MANUALLY in EVGA Precision. If they arent using a 750W minimum power supply then they are probably having issues with stability, and crashing. This is because your computer is drawing in TOO much. People dont realize their high end products need a HIGH END power supply as well. With big amperage, and big rails. By reputable companies.READ FULL REVIEW
