Pros: I always stick with HGST, since I haven't had a bad one yet. They tend to be reliable, in my experience personally and at work. I have two of these drives in RAID1, and so far, they are performing fast and flawlessly. I ran full disk tests on the drives first, and they passed. I did a complete format (not quick), and it took an extended amount of time, but that is normal for these really large drives.
Cons: No cons.
Other Thoughts: I would recommend these drives for purchase. Good price/performance/capacity. I just bought another!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Good screen
Cons: This monitor is so UGLY! Whoever did the design at Samsung should quit!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: First of all, this case is really well made and it works with most of the drives I've tried. The other reviewers positive comments are accurate.
Cons: But - and this probably Seagate's problem - the Seagate 1.5TB drives don't work properly in this enclosure when using the eSATA port. The USB works, but not the eSATA. You have to turn the power on to the drive first - AND THEN connect the eSATA cable to make it work. The hard drive requires a "Spin up delay". This is unacceptable to me.
I tried two 1.5TB Seagate 7200.11 drives both with firmware CC1H. Probably since that is a newer firmware, mabe Rosewill did not put support for the spin-up delay in the enclosure firmware.
Other Thoughts: I gave five stars because the product is still a good product and well made, and the issue is probably Seagate.READ FULL REVIEW
