This review is from: NVIDIA Coupon Metro: Last Light
Pros: Free game, can't complain right?
Cons: My rig has never been worked so hard. I'm currently working with dual EVGA 660ti's SUPERCLOCK in SLI and Intel's i-7 3770k overclocked to 4.1 GHz. I keep all my visuals at their highest. SSAO 4x and tessellation VERY HIGH, resolution 1920x1080. Now you'd figure, DUAL 660ti's overclocked to some degree would bring decent FPS right? NEGATIVE! Now i'm sure all reviewers can relate to this particular scene of Metro: Last Light, taking place in early parts of the game... You're traveling in the sewers alongside a female sniper. All of a sudden a creature comes out of the blue and rushes at you...CRASH! BSOD! First of all, the visuals and textures aren't all that great.. I mean in my opinion, Battlefield 3 surpasses this game in that category by a mile! And that's with a single card folks! Although it was free, i'm a bit disappointed with the game. For something that was quite demanding on my PC, I was expecting a bit more out of the plot. Very linear in my opinion. Completed it within hours. Now i'm thinking of downloading Ranger Mode from Steam for $5. Hopefully it'll offer more of a challenge and maybe more plots and twists..
Other Thoughts: My rig could barely handle this game, here's the rest ofmy specs ;
Intel's DZ77GA-70K Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance 16GB RAM 4x4 1600
Intel's Cherryville 500 series SSD 160GB
and Corsair's H100i for cooling.
This review is from: Logitech G400 Black 8 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Optical 3600 dpi Gaming Mouse
Pros: Awesome mouse, we're approaching two years of ownership now. Amazing feel; I can palm a basketball quite easily, and this mouse fits my big hands great. I just bought Logitech's G510 Gaming keyboard from Newegg, and they both work great together; they both utilize the same gaming program. It would've been nice if the G400 had backlit illuminated lights on it's buttons like the G510 keyboard; but I won't knock off an egg because of it. I realize the G500 is already out. Definitely a Logitech fanboy for life!
Cons: None really.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Logitech 920-002530 G510 Keyboard
Pros: Refurbished my foot, this keyboard looks brand spankin' new out of the box! I love how you can check the latest worldwide news stories by pressing the button by the LCD screen. This board goes perfectly with my G400 mouse, they use the same gaming software. I only wish that my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick implemented the same software but it's not a biggie. $70 compared to $110 for a brand new unused board, man what a deal!
Cons: The backlit keys are a little dim, but hey it's not worth knocking off an egg.READ FULL REVIEW
