This review is from: ION iCADE Atari Game Controller for iPad
Pros: Great design, looks both polished and stylish. It was easy to assemble, and I actually stepped on it (lightly) during assembly by accident, and it didn't break. Configuring the bluetooth was easy and painless. The instructions were clear and concise.
There are actually many apps that work with the iCADE, and here's the ones I currently have kept on my iPad (there were some that were boring, so I deleted):
- Atari's Greatest Hits
- Air Attack HD
- Muffin Knight
- Super Crate Box
- Terra Noctis
- League of Evil
- Super Mega Worm
- Hard Lines
- Hungry Master
- Space Inversion/ Space Inversion 2 HD
- Arcade Jumper
- Temple Run
- Silverfish MAX
- Pac-Man HD
- Dark Incursion
- iMAME (removed from App Store, on Cydia named iMAME4ALL)
I don't support jailbreak, but if you do, you can get Blutrol, which allows you to customize controls from non-supported apps to fit with the iCade controls.
Good quality and impressed my friends wit
Cons: While using the iCADE, you cannot use the regular keyboard because the iCADE is recognized as a bluetooth keyboard. Some arcade games are hard to play due to the lack of trackball. Also, the iCADE could use another joystick for games like Robotron, plus it would support dual-stick shooters. Wish it would support landscape mode a bit better, because the joystick gets in the way of the screen sometimes.
Other Thoughts: Atari's Greatest Hits costs $9.99 to buy all the games inside it. It only comes with Missile Command for free. Also, iMAME is removed from the App Store, but you can still get it on Cydia. iMAME will not come with any roms, so you have to get them by yourself, and not all roms work. Wish there were app support for the iCADE, like Zombieville USA 2 or / ESCAPE \.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Seems like a decent deal with a mouse. I need a new mouse anyways, and this was a good deal.
The kalika cases are so awesome though.
Cons: Just wish'd the perm wasn't a valkyrie, I already have the G36E for perm. Oh well.
Other Thoughts: This should be an emailed codeREAD FULL REVIEW
