Pros: I have a backup....
Cons: 1 of 3 failed in the first 90 days (so far). The other 2 are in testing.
Other Thoughts: I meticulously test all my new drives for 30 days BEFORE using them. This one initially passed that process but has failed 88 days after receiving it. Now I have to RMA it, pay shipping, and wait for a random REFURBISHED drive to replace it. Unfortunately there's little choice since there doesn't seem to be any drive manufacturer exempt from unreliable hard drives. I have 2 more of these just purchased in the last 2 weeks that are still in testing.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SUPERMICRO MBD-X7SPA-H-O Mini ITX Server Motherboard DDR2 667
Pros: 6x SATA ports, Will work with 8GB of RAM
Cons: Poor documentation
Other Thoughts: I bought this board almost 2 years ago to run FreeNAS 8. I'm running ZFS raidz2 with 5x 2TB disks and 1 spare, and until today 4GB of RAM. The system has been solid with NO problems. I have also been using a 160W PicoPSU with it since the beginning without any problems. I overlooked the documented 4GB of RAM, but saw other posts from people with the D525 variation were able to get 8GB to work, so I gave it a try even though this is the D510. I just got the 8GB of RAM today and it works perfectly so far. I got the G-Skill F2-5300CL5D-8GBSQ here at Newegg.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Works with the SUPERMICRO MBD-X7SPA-H-O D510 motherboard even though the documented max says 4GB.
Cons: None at the moment!
Other Thoughts: A lot of people bought the Supermicro MBD-X7SPA-H-O (D510) motherboard and missed the documented max of 4GB. Other people have found that the D525 variation would work with 8GB, so I gave mine a try also and it works with 8GB.READ FULL REVIEW
