This review is from: LIAN LI PC-V354B Black Aluminum MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case
Pros: Nice compact size.
Fits 7 drives.
Good amount of fan slots.
Cons: No quick release side panels. 8 Screws.
Comes with slightly annoying LED front fans
Scratches / fingerprints easily.
140mm started knocking around week 3.
Cheaper construction that was expecting
Other Thoughts: I knew about the size going in. Just get a modular PSU and prepare to spend a little extra time properly routing. Top fan started knocking pretty soon after arrival. On a $140 case, might expect better quality (pwm) fans.
Overall, nice for the size. Didnt want a huge tower in the middle of the living room. Prepare to change out the fans soon.
Pros: Great size, features, low noise level for the price. Makes a decent low end HTPC.
Cons: Does not consistently play HD content from a HomeRun Price tuner. Some channels fine, others not.
After 1.5 years, fan starting emitting terrible sound. Bad bearing perhaps. Now, when turning on tv, often the screen is multicolored and unusable. Have to play with resolution for about 5 minutes for it to get back to usable state. Sometimes, it is just a static "snow" screen and I have to reboot.
Other Thoughts: Overall, I got a good year out of the unit. Was it worth the price? No. Would have rather just put money into something that would have lasted at least 2-3 years and played HD video consistently.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Nice looking case, something you could set up and forget about.
Comes with esata and usb (B) data cables + power cable.
Very sturdy hd mounting and easy to put together.
On/Off switch so one doesn't have to unplug power to turn off.
FINALLY a DIM blue LED- bright enough to see, dim enough to not light up the entire room at night.
Nice small wall wart
Cons: Not for use as a "dock", though one could just not use screws I suppose. Untested so unsure of any vibrations this may cause.
(No fault of mfger) Wish esata also provided power over the data cable.
When configured esata w/ ahci, drive doesnt seem to power down. Might be missing a BIOS option to enable this(?)
Other Thoughts: Haven't tried the usb, but with a WD Green, transfer speeds over esata are darn good (60-80MB/s)READ FULL REVIEW
