This review is from: VisionTek 900639 DisplayPort to Dual Link DVI-D Active Adapter Cable
Pros: Cheap, works for cases where single-link DVI is sufficient.(1680x1050@60Hz, 1920x1080@60Hz)
Cons: Does not work when dual-link DVI bandwidth is required. (1680x1050@120Hz, 1920x1080@120Hz, 2560x1440@60Hz)
The only output is a black screen.
Other Thoughts: This adapter appears to only provide single link bandwidth. 2560x1440@40Hz (161MHz pixel clock) works with some visual glitches.
For reference, single-link DVI is designed for a maximum of 165MHz pixel clock.
Avoid this adapter if you are looking to use resolutions above 1920x1080 or refresh rates above 60Hz.
Pros: - Fastest single-GPU card
- Excellent minimum FPS and smoothness
- Future-proof with DX11 support and efficient tessellation
- EVGA support is the best I have ever seen
- Supports software voltage control
Cons: - Fan is loud at 100%, but you won't need to run the fan at 100% as long as your case has good airflow. The fan noise is not a problem when playing games.
- VERY hard to find in stock right now
Other Thoughts: The heat and power problems are not as bad as some of the reviews say. The card won't exceed 90 C while gaming unless you rely on the auto fan profile. Overall this card is worth the price if you need the fastest single GPU card around.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Excellent upgrade for anyone using a G5, it has the same basic shape but much higher DPI. I love the new Setpoint version that is exclusive to the G500 and G9 mice. It supports macros similar to those on the G11/G15/G19 keyboards. The extra side button is also a nice bonus over the G5.
Cons: - Firmware v1.0 has some issues with small precise movements (fixed in v1.1)
Other Thoughts: The firmware update tool is not very easy to find on Logitech's site but it is there.READ FULL REVIEW
