This review is from: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (Full Version) - Download
Pros: New features
Painless to install
Cons: Start button works different
Most "Apps" take the full screen and are definitely touch based.
loss of Aero effect for program windows
Other Thoughts: At first I hated this. Then, I've learned to customize it. First I wanted just like windows 7, but the more I experiment with the "Start" menu, the more I can see how I want to tailor the layout to my liking.
Some things are a complete bust, like the calculator or any other touch app. But the new Start screen isn't mandatory, and being able arrange the programs I want makes sense. I love the upper corner "Alt-tab".
Don't expect to like this OS immediately. So far, I haven't found anything missing from 7 that's going to make me cry.
This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm
Pros: Easy to install (if there is plenty of room)
Interesting light show
Keeps interior clean and neat
Extra slots to plug in more fans
Cons: Gets loud at high speeds (high temps)
Would expect better performance for price
May require slight modification depending on moboard and case
Other Thoughts: I like the 2*120mm radiator setup. I don't like the corsair link software, or the buzzing sound that is produced until you flash the firmware. I've got a 4670k, and maybe it's the processor (not delidded), but with a modest 4.4GHz overclock, the cooler struggles to maintain 90C.
Near silent operation when at idle temps, but once you cross the 60C-70C threshold, put in some earplugs. The stock fans are loud, and do not give a sense of quality.
I'll keep what I have for now, and I prefer it over an extra large air cooler. I've got a R9 290 on the way, and if I ever get around to putting it under a waterblock, I'll try to incorporate the Corsair block into the loop, ditching the radiator.
Pros: Great air flow at low speeds.
Easy to install.
Includes options to install.
Rubber coating on all contact surfaces.
Fabric braid around long cables.
Cons: None observed.
Other Thoughts: Using these as side intake fans and I love them. If you use the included screws (which are not painted black! minor con I guess) you end up digging into the rubber mounting holes. I opted to use the included rubber pull tabs (uses elastic force to hold in place). Silent at low speeds with great airflow.READ FULL REVIEW
