Pros: 1. Price - for what you get, this thing is VERY well priced. 2. Size - at about 5 inches square, it fits almost anywhere. 3. Speed - does everything I need it to quickly. 4. Silent - NO noise at all. 5. Features - WiFi, Bluetooth & SSD all ready installed. A VESA mount is also included.
Cons: Needs LPDDR3 RAM. I tried to use a Corsair 8GB kit that I had laying around and it wouldn't boot with it. You HAVE to use low voltage RAM.
Other Thoughts: We use this little guy to stream TV shows, sports, Netflix and some browser games and it is AWESOME! I use it with an IOGEAR wireless keyboard and it's perfect for us. The only thing I would recommend is to bump the RAM up to 4GB. Mine came with Kingston LPDDR3 which is available right here on the egg! Do yourself a favor and add it to your cart with this Cromebox!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This is the best "bang for the buck" CPU available for a machine that will do more than just gaming. It runs cool and fast, like ALL Intel Core i CPUs. I have always been impressed with Core i CPUs and continue to be.
Cons: None at this time.
Other Thoughts: If you're reading this, chances are that either A: Someone told you this is and AWESOME chip, or B: you read a review that this is an AWESOME chip. Both A & B are correct. Just buy it already! Make sure you pair it with a Z97 board though. The K CPU is only justified if you plan on overclocking it. If not, just get the non-K version.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: 1. Features - has all the basics: SATA 6gb, PCI Express 3.0, USB 3.0, UEFI. 2. Well built - feels solid for an inexpensive board.
Cons: 1. NOT full ATX. The RAM slots and ATX power plug are not supported well in a case. Installing either causes a lot of bending. 2. Kind of picky - refused to play nicely with G.Skill Value DDR3 1600 8GB. I have used this RAM in COUNTLESS boards (including 3 Gigabyte boards) with no incident. This board REFUSED to work with it (constant BSODs). The RAM works perfectly in all other boards I tried it in.
Other Thoughts: This is a great budget board. It has a couple minor drawbacks (NO overclocking, NO SLI (does Crossfire X though). It has 4 SATA 6gb ports (NO RAID). I built a budget gaming system with a Core i5 4570, 8GB RAM, Radeon R7 265, Mushkin Chronos 120GB SSD, Rosewill 630w PSU and Seagate 2TB HDD. It was an AMAZING machine for the money.READ FULL REVIEW
