This review is from: 4tb Backup Plus Desktop Drive
Pros: Power Adapter
Cons: Drive started clicking at 20 days (reset cycle) would not post, total data loss. This product is a strong RMA candidate and a huge waste of time. Not reliable enough to act as a standalone drive.
Other Thoughts: Considering that I paid $150, and what the power adapter cost to include, you get what you pay for with what is left... The included USB cable doesn't fasten particularly securely to the included drive enclosure. Even when connected, the drive periodically drops off line then rediscovers itself (about every 30-45 minutes). No power power switch on the enclosure, so the drive spins up and down much more than it has to at the connection of the USB cable. I got an RMA, after 30 days expect to keep using the warranty till it runs out or you get tired.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Good M/B connector cables (takes 2 x USB 2.0), good length, not too fat. Solid connection to card reader as well, didn't get the feeling the cable would slide off. Nice blue light. Ports are clearly identified. Fits nicely in a 5.25" bay.
Cons: Blue light is always on, not just for read/write activity. If you are mounting it for under the desk it would be silly to try to read the small white lettering identifying the ports.
Other Thoughts: Ports for card reader are keyed to work one way only. Color coding the slots would be clownish. I never have actually used it to read/write to a card, though I have used the USB and it worked. It looks good, and that's what matters, who cares if it works anyway?READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Rosewill 19.7” (1.64 ft./50cm) SATA III Cable w/ Locking Latch Model RCDV-11011
Pros: Good flex on the cable, not stiff (I use these on a swing out drive cage). Low profile connector is good for clearing USB cables on the bottom of your motherboard and case. Locking connector.
Other Thoughts: Cheap price. 4 out of 4 worked out of the package.READ FULL REVIEW
