This review is from: Razer Carcharias Over Ear Xbox360/PC Gaming Headset
Pros: Very sensitive.
- The audio quality is very high
- Cables are sturdy
- Good tech and driver support
- Comfy and well designed
Cons: Very sensitive.
Many people complain of static and noise. This is not a driver issue, nor is the device defective. The headphones are so sensitive, that the very slight noise in the USB power it receives distorts the sound they produce.
A discrete sound card will not fix this issue.
Again, the issue is one of noise in the power it receives via USB. The noise causing the distortion is a remnant of the process of the PSU converting AC (alternating current) to DC (direct current).
Either get a better power supply (reducing the noise) or purchase a device which supplies DC power. I use a portable battery with USB connectors.
Other Thoughts: The cable is ridiculously long.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Case Logic Black 10-11.6" Netbook Sleeve Model LAPS-111
Pros: Snug foam prevents most minor incidents. Works as expected in that capacity.
Cons: The zipper's metal component on the inside of the case has caused scratches to my device in whichever corner happens to be near the zipper (all 4 orientations).
Other Thoughts: Rather frustrating having a protective device cause damage. However, it is all cosmetic in nature.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: PNY Attaché 2 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model P-FD16GATT2-GE
Pros: These drives operate as expected, and outperform several drives I have used in the past in terms of reliability.
Being flash memory, these devices hold their data without requiring additional electrical current. Where these shine is their stability. I left one of them alone for over 6 months and was unable to find a single bit corrupted.
In addition, I used one of these for cache memory. This means that it gets read from and written to very frequently. Flash memory is fundamentally highly susceptible to wear from writes, and mine is still going strong.
Pretty nice to have 16GB in my pocket. These are a bit outdated now that larger sizes are offered, but 16GB is usually plenty of space for portability. If you need more, you may want to get an external hard drive instead.
Cons: The end opposite the cap appears to be sized so that one can place the cap there. Indeed it is a snug fit and the recessed areas prevent wear to the ridges on the inside of the cap. However, the cap becomes slightly distended by placing it there, causing it to fit looser when returned to its original location.
Other Thoughts: The casing of the device is a hard textured plastic, so these stand up well against scratches they may get from being on a keychain, or drops from high places.READ FULL REVIEW
