This review is from: powercom KING RM KIN-2200APRM 2200 VA 1320 Watts 6 Outlets UPS
Pros: Rock solid and reliable. Cheap and simple.
Cons: There's nothing fancy or cool about it.
Other Thoughts: I bought this in December of 2010. Five and a half years later, the batteries finally died. This thing has been so reliable, I don't ever think about it until the power goes out. Now that the batteries are done, I'm really impressed with how long it lasted and what a good job it's done over the years. Buy one of these with confidence.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: BUFFALO AirStation AC1300 / N900 Gigabit Dual Band Wireless Router - WZR-D1800H
Pros: 5ghz performance is acceptable
Cons: 2.4ghz g/n performance and reliability is horrible
Other Thoughts: I am a Systems Engineer. This router is barely functional as a dual-band router. 5ghz N performance (I don't yet have other AC devices) is good, but 2.4ghz is extremely slow and constantly drops connections. Streaming Netflix or other video over this router is an exercise in futility. Have a media box and a file server? Don't even bother. Firmware updates (currently 1.91) have not helped.
I have a 9 year old Linksys WAP54g that beats the performance and reliability of this router hands down. I have to leave it in place and use the Buffalo only for 5ghz wireless. This is the worst money I've ever spent on network hardware.
This review is from: Cisco Small Business RV082 Dual WAN VPN Router
Pros: I've had this router for a few years now. I have been very impressed with its stability and extensive feature set.
Cons: New Linksys/Cisco firmware almost always has something wrong with it. Make sure you back up your settings and be ready to roll back.READ FULL REVIEW
